The Boston 393 is the 393rd one-of-a-kind piece in Vortic's "Boston" line of the American Artisan Series. This watch contains the original movement (timepiece), dial (face), and hands from a vintage (1880’s – 1950’s) pocket watch. The American Artisan Series is a line of fully American Made wristwatches powered by restored, U.S. made pocket watch movements.

What makes the Boston 393 Unique: Today’s Watch of the Day is the Boston 393! It’s both sophisticated and sharp with the wonderfully machined titanium case and oxblood cordovan strap. This watch has a modern feel without being too overstated. The red outer minute indicators add some extra detail to its clean, white dial. Nickel-plated crown and hardware round out the small details on this watch, complimenting its beautifully decorated Royal movement. A ¾ bridge plate is intricately demaskeened to show off the different layers and precision of the movement. 17 screw-set jewels, rose gold gears, and nickel-plated screws throughout the main plate make up the stunning hardware. Some movements we see are in incredible condition, even over 100 years. This watch looks like it could have easily been produced today when it was originally manufactured by Waltham in 1908 in Massachusetts! At the same time, the Ford Motor Company released the first Model T. Originally priced at $850, it is amazing to look back and think of how far we have come with technology in both vehicles and watches. We love to see these slices of history still performing perfectly even today.
